Land Saved
I look for signs to be happy, to be optimistic, to lessen the weight of this current life. Crossing Randall Road on Binnie Drive recently, Susan and I saw one, big and proud. “Land Saved”, it said. One hundred and twenty-two acres rescued from a truck-farm future by the Conservation Foundation, generous donors, and citizens. It will remain home for countless creatures and plants to thrive, and for future generations to enjoy. It’s things like this that help me remember that the sun rises and the birds sing. Keep looking for the signs. Get up, stand up, pitch in, and celebrate. Land saved! Photos by Susan aka Wired Lotus.
