Generosity

I try to practice generosity, even though sometimes I may think, “I barely have enough for myself!” Enough time. Enough money. Enough attention.

There are many ways to practice generosity, even when my resources are limited. I can be generous with my time. I can be generous with my attention. I can listen with a generous and open heart. And if that’s too much, I can simply start by being generous and showing up. Being present for those in our lives can be a radical act of generosity.

One of the most powerful aspects of generosity is that when I practice generosity, it is returned to me multiplied in many ways. Of course, for me to be generous with others, I first have to be generous with myself.

“Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.” ― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

May your day be filled with generosity.
